Tibet, ca. 15th c.64,5 x 22,5 x 3,5 cm und 71 x 28,8 x 2,8 cm
Both of rectangular shape, the first coloured in gilt and red, carved in deep relief with a central vishvavajra emblem placed in a square section, flanked to each side by four various divinities and the Eight Buddhist Emblems, each placed within a medallion, within a lotus-petal border, one side carved with stupas and the character ‘ka’; and the second cover sculpted in deep relief with a crowned Buddha flanked by two other Buddha figures, all placed in a scrolling background and within a lotus-petal border.
